The Wedding Festival Update
Last night was the West End Film Festival, my very first festival and it was a blast. So many great live action short films in there, very inspiring. It was an extra blast because my graduate film The Wedding took home the best Animation prize!
The cash prize will be injected directly into my next film, which I am going to start getting a kickstarter crowd funding project together for. Hopefully I can get some interest in the project, because it's going to be something really special and dear to me. I'm planning on adapting an amazing little short story you may have even heard...
Mysterious.
The Wedding has also been accepted into the Tel-Aviv student film festival. Who wants to go to Israel with me!? I would love to go... but I could not afford those flights.

Amazing Short Animations Dump
There has been some really inspiring works appearing. Here are a few!
They all make me feel envious, joyous and terrified to be living in this scene.
The Henhouse - I just watched this and it's my favourite short in a long while. I was laughing out loud at just the looks and acting and became surprisingly moved by the end.
Vaesen - This blew me away. So much that I had to email the creator and just kinda froth for a while.
Adrian Dexter was super nice. Those backgrounds and characters man... I love the 70's fantasy style.
My Family and the Wolf - Unreal acting, execution and design. I was totally sold on just the distant trees moving and those boats bobbing. Great use of drawn and 3D, can't wait to see the full thing.
Pilote Tout En Haut du Monde / Longway North - Again, unreal everything visually. I'm waiting for some feature length films with such style. I wonder if it and My Family and the Wolf were using TVPaint?

The Wedding Festival Run
So my film the Wedding has started being accepted into some film festivals.
So far it is the West End Film Festival and the Gold Coast Film Festival
I'm pretty excited! I've never been in one before.
I'm also the featured illustrator on the 2nd edition Stilts Journal! A Brisbane based writers journal, the people who run it are all my friends and very nice! And very soon to get an exciting new website.

Here is also a little concepty image for a new big exciting project I will HOPEFULLY be starting soon!
